I'd quell the excitement. How many of the OG devs are still around since the last one? Humankind and Endless Dungeon don't inspire confidence to me personally.

This. I've been gaming a long time and I've lost count of how many sequels have ended up being a huge disappointment. The rule is that game devs are inconsistent and expectations need to be tempered. Amplitude have shown very poor judgement in the past, and they need to work hard to rebuild whatever trust they once had.

Hope Endless Legend 2 is not a simplified, multiplatform (mobile-first) version designed so that even a distracted millennial on their phone won’t complain.

I just ordered mine when the Original Lore guy that created the Endless Universe stated on stream it's more indepth than the digital artbook. Can't wait to see what's in there!
