...I did read all of it... (Except stuff you qoted from Wiki)
So... why the heck did you wrote your opinion on the factions and the game balance on the topic that has a direct question. "Which victory condition is best to play with all faction".
So you made a short answer... then bunch of quotes from wiki with your comments on some... and then a long post about your opinion on the game's factions?
Also...
MAKE BIG LINE SPACES
BETWEEN TALKING
ABOUT DIFFERENT FACTIONS
PLEASE!!
Ahem, first of all... you cannot judge a faction unless you win as them at least once.
Because you cannot diss Mykara like that. I find it to be one of the most best factions.
They can turn ruins into teleports, and all they need is to SEE the temple... And whenever Orkun giant beetle appears somewhere, you can see some ground around them, including temples.
So it mean if Orkun spawns on a big unowned territory near temple, you got free real estate! You can just transform that ruins into a teleport, warp there some of your units, and then explore the ground. It's kinda perfect for "New world" type of maps, where all factions spawn on one continent, while other continent is empty.
Cultists, while having one city, can submit minor factions even on other territories... and they will gather resources for Cultists and spawn units over time. FOR FREE.
So you basically have a faction that can generate endless amounts of units for free. So a cultist faction, when spawned on a big ground without much neigbours, can go very OP.
Why Mykara and Cultists are nice? For simple reason. They have ONLY ONE CITY. Why is it nice? Because there's no sloggish micro-management on big maps. You know how tedious is to control dozens of cities at once? Makes every turn 5 or even 10 minutes, ugh! ><
By the way, about Eclipses... i currently turned all add-ons off, to play with almost-vanilla experience. So, no Spying, no Winter Temples, no Sea Fortresses and Battleships, no Volcanoes and Eclipses, and no Orkuns. And their factions as well.
Broken Lords are broken, because if you have upgrades that increase level of unit you buy, you can build units for cheap and sell them for more, earning more Dust than you can get than by simple dust farming, and then you can buy more population, for more productions, for more units to sell, for more money to gain, for more population to buy, and so on. Very OP.
Seriously, you written off some factions as "Garbage" just by reading their description and not even trying them?! Trying some factions to drop them BEFORE you can see their full potential? Playing only a few factions, and deciding to never use others!?
I find you to be very surface-level thinking person for someone who seems to play Strategy Games like Disciples and Heroes of Might and Magic.
I'm very sorry for sounding rude, but don't you think that a question i as an OP has made is directed to people who are rather knowledgeable of this game, than to a person who used my question as an excuse for your FREAKING RAMBLE about this game's balance?!
...I as a person who got pleasantly surprised by many things that i have written off as garbage on first impression, which then turned out as things that i not only enjoyed, but came to love a lot, among my favorites... i got very critical of other people's "First Impression" level of thinking.
So instead of spawning at level 1, they spawn at level 5, and you can sell that unit for more money than your production worth.
*Sigh* amateur.
I find little credibility in people who use words like "Garbage" and "Sh*t" in their lexicon to describe things, because they often sound like young maximalists, who try to sound important and loud...
...Also it makes me cringe, because it reminds me of myself when i used to say such things.
Yes, unfair. It makes this strategy game realsitic, you know.
When strategy games are balanced, they feel sterile.
This game has every faction to have it's own playstyle.
It reminded me of Heroes of Might and Magic 1 and 2, which i find to be better than overrated Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
