Can't create missionaries or apostles
I have all the religious buildings and even some religious wonders -- I can't purchase them with faith, I don't even see them on my UNITS menu in the city screen. How do I do this?

You can select buy with faith at city screen, there you can buy them.

I had this as well, I kept wondering why none of the units were available. In my case it was because my city did not have a dominant religion (I was at 'Religious Settlements) 3/3 of each religion). So you have to have a dominant religion in the city.

Build a religious district, build a shrine, buy merchant with faith. Build a temple, buy apostle with faith.

That may be it -- the places where I have relgious districts and holy sites all have NO dominant religion!

Well i have the same problem... in my holy city... it just wont augment the number of beleivers...

Gotta have a religion in those cities - Otherwise how would your faith units know which one to spread? Sometimes you found a religion but abandon it.

Can't buy any religious person of any kind of you don't have a dominant religion in your city. I keep waiting for the numbers to change but they are NOT changing. I have no way to sway people to the holy city religion, and others keep throwing missionaries and the like at me so that I can't get even ONE city under my religion. What a drag.

Yes I have build a Religious District got a Prophet started a religon and before the Shrine was ready and a single missionary was build the holy city was converted by a swarm of enemy missionaries....
Now can't build anything else to defend against the other religions onslaught.
Religion seem totally broken because of this mechanism, the AI spams too many missionaries and it seems far too easy to nullify a holy city.

Also make sure you are not that one civ, Mz...whatever, they can't create a religion, etc.

Mvemba a Nzinga (Kongo). Yeah they can't build holy sites or found a religion. But they can still get apostles (if there is a domininant religion in the city) by building culture and neighborhood districts.

So clicking apostile/missionary switches to religious view. What about cities that you're trying to convert? Isn't there a way to see how many pops belong to each religion? Non dominant cities just have a black border; no info.. Or is that just how it is?

Cities with various religions in them will have a small image near them with a symbol for each religion present and the number of pops adhering to them. There should also be a pie chart of sorts, where the outer ring is colored based on the religion and what % of the population is following it.

I've completed a religious victory game, and yeah there was no way to tell the exact percentages in cities that don't have a dominant religion (I think its just when the majority of citizens dont follow any religion). However, I noticed that the color of the pantheon icon does change to (I think) match which religion is in the lead in that city. I haven't looked up any specific info on this so I could be wrong.

I don't understand why you can't build an Apostle of the religion of your choosing if that religion exists in your city. Seems like a broken mechanic.
