Wierd Colors
Why do some of the empires get assigned a weird color instead of their own. Is there some kind of option I am missing here?

If you have multiples of the same civ option enabled, any duplicates will have weird colors, otherwise I've no clue

It's a new feature, the game automatically changes Civs colours If it's close to another. Not sure it's working quite right though.

Daniel.

I thinks its dumb it never did that before and I never had a problem with it. I usually play as America and I have seen Greece with the blue and white and I never got confused they need to get rid of that and just leave the colors alone.

Ok case in point I just got a Civ that is clear no colors at all and you can't tell what the unit is because the flag doesnt even show up. Why even do this if its not broke dont fix it. Have players been asking for something like this?

@Bluto I personally like that the units have the faction color. That said, I dont see why they made the units change color if two similar colored factions are on the map.

It shouldn't end up transparent unless you've got more than 4 of the same civ, or more civs total than the game officially supports.

Well thats not the case I have had guys go transparent playing with 16 civs and no other civ shares that civs original colots. I was Scotland the only Civ in the game that is blue on white

All civ's have alternative color schemes (they've always had this) In the new expansion it automatically uses an alt color scheme (somthing it never did before) if two civ's have a similar color so they don't get confusing on the map. It isn't working entirely great imo but that is new feature.

@Panic Fire, it doesnt seem to work correctly though. for example rome just changed logo from purple/yellow to red/yellow presumably because gandi is on the map, but the units he fields are still purple and yellow. something is amiss

I also get this problem of transparent civ colors (borders, units, etc) it makes the game completely unplayable

There's a limited number of civs before you run out of colors for them completely; any civs beyond that limit get barbarian colors and some interactions with them bug out. Twenty major civs (the maximum allowed for a Huge map with the unmodified rules) should be OK. Thirty isn't.

This. You need to download a mod that adds more jersey colors such as Prismatic.
