There is definitly a bug around wonders.
It makes even less sense to give you a huge production advantage to something else. Suddenly the half-completed Hagia Sophia gets converted into an industrial zone? How is that more justifiable?
But ya for what the OP said that wonder got built by someone else.
I miss the civ5 wonder fail sound and separated wonder notifications
The whole 1 wonder really does not make sence to begin with. Why would someone stop building something just because some other country on the other side of the globe that they have never heard of beat them to it? But it is the game mechanic so I don't see it changing.
Two other wonders were built around the time I was supposed to be finished, but none of them were of what I was building.
If not, someone built it.
Game abstraction rule.
It was part of my plan to build it in my capital from the start and I was first to learn Guilds and start building it.
Yes - This is working as intended.
first off, there was no announcement of another civ building it
second, I tried going back 10 turns and extended the amount of time it took me to build it - it didn't disappear before getting to turn 0. if another civ was building it and stealing it from me at the last minute, they would finish it at the same time regardless of me extending the time I'm taking to build it.
I'm watching the turn end with my cursor hovering over the space where it's being built and it's identified in the info box, then a moment later the box hasn't updated but the map no longer shows my half built wonder. oddly the road through the hex where I was building it has a space in it where the wonder used to be.
annoying bug
