Do Mods Disable Achievements?
Question in title. I know they did in Civ 5... but do they here? Just curious before I dig in headfirst into the wonderful mods that have already surfaced.

I don't know.

I am using a script that gives me a restart button on the menu, so i can start over from bad start positions. doesn't stop me from getting achievements.
No not at present for this game. I am using about five mods which really improve the game and I am still getting all achievements.
Agree Skulbow. I expect this to be 'fixed' in the first patch.

What mods are you using?
It would be terribly easy to make mods disable achievements. I mean, really easy.

Seems likely they decided not to have mods disable achievements. After all, if people really want to cheat their way to achievements, that's easy enough without even running the game.
The mods I use and they have transformed the game into something so different but so much better are:
cqui mod ( UI enhancements plus other mods rolled in)
Better Trading
Unit Report screen
A+ ( made a big difference to the way the AI interacts with you and the game)
Improved water yields

All these have transformed the game into a much more polished and less frustrating experience by basically adding little enhancements to menus, AI behaviour, maps and the UI.
I don't think mods necessarily allow you to CHEAT your way to achievements the ones I mainly use just enhance the gameplay as it should have been done in the first place if it hadn't been rushed out with features either missing or incomplete. These mods just improve the users gameplay experience.

And anyway achievements are for each individual as a way of checking off things they complete in a game...who care if John Smith cheated one somehow it doesn't effect you or I.

Right, plus there was that one "broken" achievement in V that involved rating a mod... which required you to have mods on, thus disabling your ability to get the achievement. People went totally nuts about it.
