New Tech Discovery Speech - Not Working
Greeting all,

I noticed that since the last DLC, every time i research a new tech, there is no speech from Sean Bean about it, same for civics.

Researched Archery - Sean Bean´s voice - " I shot an arrow into the air, it feel i know not where".

Does anyone else have this ? All other audios work. Music, Wonders, Battle.... Never seen this before.

The widely reported thing is that the popup doesn't appear at all, never mind the speech.
Interesting. I am experiencing the voice over starting out of no where without the pop up window. Then I click the mouse and the pop up window appears and the voice over restarts or plays again. Doesn't happen every time. Just every few discoveries.
I get the pop up and speech maybe 1 out of every 7-8 techs. Haven't really seen a pattern to it.
I just find it funny that whenever someone report this bug, they specifically mention Sean Bean by name. That guy should get some sort of awesomeness royalties.

So it seems that there are other issues involving audio & Tech discovery. Do you guys think i should go through the trouble of telling Firaxis ? Opening a ticket and all... ?

Looks like it is a comun bug, that they are already aware of... Lets wais for a fix.
Consider it a blessing......the quotes in Civ 6 are absolutely gag worthy

Oh the same terrible situation. May it'll be fix quickly while I'm just begin to play this game happliy after leaving it in the library for about six months. So much fun I haven't experience. :steamsad:
Just started playing this after a long hiatus from not being able to play any games and noticed this. Seems the prompts will re-appear on a reload or restart of the game but as soon as some sort of district or wonder gets placed, the prompts disappear. Still no word though from Firaxis on eta for fix...
I'll expand a bit on this bug in that when you get an option to change government from a recent civic completion, if you go into the screen to change civics/government and then back out without changing (if you wanted to examine your cities to see what will benefit you the most currently before committing to a change) the option to change government remains in the radial at the bottom right corner. However, this is a trap of sorts because if you click on it again, whether it's the main option in the radial menu or just one of the smaller clickable options, it will end your turn, forcing a game reload if you wanted to change civics/government without penalty before waiting the next cycle.
