For those of you who are not fluent in german, a short summary: Our graphics is from the last century, our gameplay at times repetitive and the whole game oozes "old-school-ness". So "if you love great graphics in a game, move along, nothing to see here". And there is the odd bug here and there, from levers in dungeons that are almost inivisible to enemies that are dead but refuse to fall over. But if you are into such old-school-ness, we have a lot of depth, a whole heap of useful items (even cutlery and a makeup mirror have their actual uses in the game), deep and extensive character customization. :)

Ich finde das ist eine faire Zusammenfassung. Da nützt es auch nichts wenn mir das ganze subjektiv 15 Punkte besser gefällt.

@Hummel, Harald hat den Test für eines der wichtigsten Games-Magazine in Deutschland geschrieben, die sich ganz klar an einen Massenmarkt richten. Und dieser Massenmarkt ist nunmal Skyrim, Risen 3 und Assassin's Creed gewöhnt. Glaub mir, wir haben bei ihm einen Megastein im Brett, aber seine Aufgabe ist es nunmal, für seine Leser zu schreiben. Und wenn die zuallererst die Grafik vergleichen und denen das Spiel darunter erst in zweiter Linie wichtig ist, dann muss er darauf hinweisen. Und genau das hat er gemacht. Er hätte das Spiel auch in die unterste Schublade schreiben können (so wie es die PC Games bei Schick gemacht hat) - hatter aber nich.

Ein Spiel besser zu bewerten, als es objektiv ist, wäre auch alles andere als professionell und würde offizielle Zeitschrift-Rezensionen, die einer gewissen Neutralität bedürfen, um glaubwürdig zu sein, ad absurdum führen.

Ich hätte da auch gern eine bessere Gesamtwertung gesehen, halte das Review aber für durchaus fair.

Wenn man ein Faible für DSA oder Oldschool-RPGs hat, ist das Spiel sicher gut. Wenn man aber nicht weiß, auf was man sich einlässt, wird man eher vor den Kopf gestoßen; von der Grafik, den Unmengen von Werten/Regeln und dem Micromanagement. Von daher finde ich 67% angemessen. Für die einen 80%, für die anderen 50%.
Ich spiele erstmal Schicksalsklinge HD durch und nehme danach eine noch ausgereiftere Version von Schweif mit Mods in Angriff.

I bought the game yesterday and based the purchase mainly on the review above. So far I can say it's a fairly accurate review. Except for Fränkel's comment about the music I think, it's also not that great. I had some fun and frustration with the game. For Praios sake, fix the character generation disappearing categories bug. And a top-down camera for the fights would be great, so I won't have to waste so much time in trying to click on a character. (Edit: ok, I managed to view from above, but a tree-top on/off switch would be great)
But thanks to the review I knew what I get into. The lore, oldschoolness and some nice updates to the original game are fun and the awkward german voice-overs (sorry lads) are fun as well ;-)
I really wish this sells well and you can make a really good third part. Maybe I can do a speaker role in the next, I'm also not a professional speaker ;-)
