On the main menu nothing works, new game, settings, credits even quit option isn't working. Only alt+f4 works to quit the game, please help

It always feels like your enemies always get in the first shot in. the walk forward jump-punch attack always leaves you wide open, its more of a problem than i thought it would be, and I'd have to awkardly hold still to do quick punches instead. I wish enemies would flinch from my revolver at least, so I dont have to worry about punching or dodging at the wrong time. It would help on grappling hooks too, especially during sniper segments, there would be times that I would get shot mid animation, don't have...
