Ah you have to get rid of the skulls. Thank you. Why the ♥♥♥♥ does no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guide mention it...
This mission is a prime example.
If you don't kill the skulls, after you contact Code Talker, all soldiers becomes puppets.
However, if you kill the skulls, the soldiers at the mansion "notice movement in the woods", which in turn causes them to be in permanent alert, and later to bring heavier personel and an armored vehicle (and even a gunship!).
It's a prime example of "if you don't do the mission the way we want but sneak around, you won't git no candy!".
I admit though for some the candy is optional objective fulfilled, for some enormous amount of cross medal awarded "zombies". But still.
Eh... what?
They are different outcomes, meaning, different ways you need to finish the mission.
Nobody forced you to play one way or another, it is nobody's fault if you wanted to sneak the skulls but couldn't pull it off.
The thing I'm talking about is the optional objective available only one way. Not any other.
Maybe that's why it is "optional"?
Majority of optional objectives requires you to replay the mission and finish it on different ways to get them.
For example, mission 3, one objective is to extract the target; Other is to snipe the target.
You obviously cannot do both on same run and obviously cannot use same strategy on both.
If you want to get 100%, yes, you will be forced to learn different strategies to complete different objectives.
Since you and anyone else can pull off anything, that shouldn't be a problem, right?
Oh wait, but I did it already.
It still doesn't mean the whole thing doesn't suck. :D
If it sucked so bad why did you even make the effort to get 100%?
I love this game and still I don't care enough about getting the 100%
How come those who'd put 10/10 on it, IGN included, didn't and don't care enough.
Some contradiction going on there, don't you think?
Shall we call an actual phylosopher to sort it out?
I understand that people can love the game without doing every small thing there is to do in it (playing all missions was enough for me).
I do not understand how someone can put all the effort into doing every small thing there is to do while they dislike the game so much though.
It is almost as if they were doing every little thing just to find more and more defects they can complain about... hmmm....
Some people are plain lazy, some... Aren't.
Maybe I just found different ways of having fun with it other than doing every single objective for the sake of doing every single objective.
Who knows.
I know I must have extracted a thousand animals already.
There is a major difference between our games that made the time different. It's not pokemon extraction, but...
You have FOB. I don't.
;)
