So is this about those side ops that appear multiple times over or is he saying the same main missions simply keep repeating?
It happens after mission 31. You get three main missions, one is new and two is repeat. One you have to do without any gear, weapon, buddies or supply drop etc, and one is without reflex mode and chicken hat, I'm not sure more. The two missions you have to replay is the mission 4 or 5, and mission 9, the one with killing 7 armored vehicles in 15 minutes.
none of which you have to do to progress the story. Just make sure you've listened to all the tapes with a yellow marker next to them and play a few side ops or even free roam, next few times you leave the mission area the next story mission should be available... Visiting Mother Base might even trigger events.

1) the extra repeat modes should be available for all missions, like hard mode in zeores
2) chapter 2 feels very weak, unfinished and rushed
3) There is a lot missing in the story 8see mission 51 that was cut)
I wouldn't call one extra mission and one boss fight that would have ended with no conclusion anyway a lot, but to each their own.
Is there any fix or can someone upload for me a savegame around that mission? Thanks.

You're right, I expected the game's strong point would be the story.
It isn't bad at all as it explains a lot related to the series in general, but it doesn't feel as epic as in older games of the main series.
It'd be great if those repeated main missions were just side ops, right?
*You're not forced to do them
*They don't add much more to the story because you played them before
But you are required to do repetitive side ops which is basically the same thing. Let's not beat it around the bush, Chapter 2 is a damn mess, it contains 3-4 actual missions which aren't much different from side ops and the story is a lakcluster leading to more questions than answers.
This is an unfinished game and I wonder how a game in such a state got 10/10 from soo many publications.
Shame this game started great for me now its really not worth my time.
Also hearing chapter 3 was ripped out of the game to has just tipped the scales to. Sorry but this just killed the MGS Series for me.......
2) this was a weak tactic to try and bulk up the play time. VERY WEAK, im all for replaying missions at a harder difficulty but not like this.
3) if your going to force me to replay missions get rid of the CUT SCENES I HAVE ALREADY SEEN and now make ABSOLUTELY no sense to the story line.
4) most frustrating- people keep saying just play the side missions and u dont have to do these. not in my game. EVERY side mission is completeted and the only main missions left to play are the repeats
I listened to all the tapes anyways, the Kazuhira's Hamburger tapes were great.
I think they could of spent more time on the meat of the game, felt like there was more side content than there was main content.
