METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Always running low on GMP?
Maybe it's just me but whenever I check I'm always starved for GMP so is there any way I can get easily gained GMP without having to run around doing every side mission over and over?
Surely there is some way to get a more stable income?

Doing combat deployments generates money periodically. And staying in free roam, running around doing side ops without repeatedly returning to ACC and deploying again will save a lot of money/resources since you only spend more for extra ammo when you actually need it.

Don't forget to scour each of your platforms for rough diamonds! Each platform has 4-6 of them hidden around. Similarly, grab up rough diamonds you find in outposts. Interrogating guards can help you find their location.

As you upgrade your helicopter, the cost of sending you to the landing zone goes up. If you don't care about using the helicopter for airstrikes, you can go into the customization tab and keep it bare bones to keep costs down.

Upgrade animal cages to max and you should be always at max GMP, whatever you do.
You can just go to the Tsuchinoko location, lay 8 cages, get about 6 Tsuchinokos and have max GMP in about 5 minutes. Other animals work well too, the rare ones are surprisingly often at the helicopter landing locations.

If you desperately need more GMP, simply open your iDroid, go to Resources, and sell some you don't need. Unprocessed ones sell for nothing, and the Parasites from the Skulls sell for very little, but vehicles, mortars/mounted guns and processed resources can be sold for some GMP. As you'll probably find yourself having tons of the above in the late game, you may find GMP more valuable.

That doesn't help me now, I am sitting near the maximum amount of GMP one is cabable of having.

That's really cool but please read the OP, thanks.

So nearly 3 hours full of running around for full 5M GMP that you can have instantly? O.o

OP is asking about more stable income, not about how to max out GMP.

i will totally try that Tsuchinoko trick tho. thanks!

Dispatch Missions and selling off excess resources keeps my GMP in the black. Last time I needed to max my GMP was when I did a wave of upgrades to my FOB. Sell off 40k Minor Metal, max out at 10 Mil again instantly. Might be an issue for those who have too many resources stuck in their "Narnia closet", but should hopefully be fixed when they finally push out that update to sell online resources.

I do agree with the rare animals tactic for being the easiest, nearly free GMP you can get (just need the plants to use the cages). I must've gotten 600k with one haul using animal cages at the Tsuchinoko spot. Drop in, call Pequod to stay at the LZ, place down cages at the correct location, hop back on the chopper. You're in and out in 3 minutes or less.

Tip: Once you have the weapon expert, you can customise your guns/rifle. What happend is that you can put new unlocked items on old weapon. Personally when I roam around in world, I take my extra-tune AK which cost 70GMP on deployement :)
If you want to you can also downgrade your weapons/Items which allow you spending much more less on each deployement.
