It's a stealth game through and through. After the first mission that is.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting that, actually.
OP would likely suffer an aneurysm, if shown The Pain or even Fatman or Vamp.
You couldn't even get past the first stage? You're posting on the Steam forum, with tons of guides and experienced players, but you not only can't get past the first level but you are jumping to conclusions?
It is what it is, the world of MGS has almost supernatural elements to it which for me makes it that bit more interesting. Don't take it too seriously...
"CP I just saw a cardboard box move!"
"Knock it off"
"b but... the box!?"
Not really, MGS3 IS silly - it's supposed to, the game is a tongue-in-cheek parody of 60's era spy films.
The finale to MGS2 isn't supposed to be and really isn't silly - it's unsettling.
The other games had these setpiece boss fights but this game kind of didn't, you only really fight Quiet, Man on Fire and Sehalanthropus. The skulls I don't really count as a boss fight because they don't seem like 'individual' characters, more like really tough mooks. MGS1-4 definitely had these unique characters with their own gimmicks you had to overcome; trying to figure out how to find The End hiding in the forest, getting your ammo detonated by Volgin, etc.
