Pitch Dark "Evacuate the hot zone before Mfinda oilfield is sealed off"

Ok, how in the world do you do this objective?

I looked it up online and I only find guides that don't give any details. The only concrete thing I found was to capture the oilfield, call in the chopper and have it pick you up after you blow the separator tank, but that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ since when you blow that thing up a cutscene starts and when it ends Snake is repositioned and the helicopter is gone.

I tried to blow the separator tank from a distance where I could run out of the hot zone, but C4 or rocket launcher don't have enough range for me to make it out before it gets sealed, and for some reason that thing is immune to air bombardments too.

I'm baffled. Any help?

Get to some container, detonate your C4, extract the container and take a ride with it.

Ignore the container thing. the point is you have to be out of the premises before you blow the tnak, otherwise you get a cutscenen with guards comming down the road. just palce C4 on the tnak and go back the road you came form i nthe direction of massa village. if you're about 100 or so meteres away form the facility blwo the C4- done

This. Just plant the bomb, get out of dodge and blow it. Done and done.

So you're saying as long as the cutscene doesn't play I should get the objective even if the walker gears seal off the oilfield before I exfiltrate?

clear the area, plant C4 but don't blow it. turn off the pump, find the jeep, drive out of the complex at the gate where the path goes up slightly to the left.
Drive as far as the top of the slope [or where the two wolf/jackals are if they are there] get out of jeep detonate C4. The game will move you away from the Jeep off the road. Run to Jeep get in and drive as far left as you can go and there should be a fork in the road , take the left path of the two, drive. Profit.

Idk whats with the people saying you can't do the container.

You can, just quickly fulton out of the area on the container after blowing the thing up. It works.

Some people skipped the cargo specialist in mission 2, some skipped him even in that mission so they can't fulton containers.

And those who can fulton a container don't know because the game tooltips, manual and help is a disaster.
They don't know they need to climb up the container, place the baloon in the middle by holding E, then hold E once more to fultip up with the container.

To repeat: holding E two times while on the container is the trick.

Yes, place the balloon in the middle. I made the mistake of placing it near the edge and ended up falling off when it pitched.

Well, not for everybody for this misison it seems. If i blow the Tank before I am compeltley of the gorund of the Oil field I get the cutscnene of the wlaker gers noticing the explosion, at which point I can't get the 'leave before they seal it off' objective any more.

I stood outside the compound and fired a rocket at the tank, hoped on D-horse and exfiltrated with no hassle.

Push the button first, blow the tank second.
Ride the container and fulton yourself up.
It'll work.

I get that cutscene but I still get the side task completed.
