Did the update break any mods?
I felt the need to reinstall the game last. Of course, this means I'm going to mod the game to my liking with things like Infinite Heaven. So, I downloaded my mods, and sat down to begin installing them when suddenly an update hit MGSV.

Now, I'm wondering if I should just wait, or if I'll be fine to play through with the mods I've downloaded (all working as of the last stable version.)

So now I'm asking if anyone knows if this update broke any mods? If so, which mods did it break?

I had a lot of cosmetic mods pre-update and it broke most of em, I haven't reinstalled any mods yet to see if they will work, I'm waiting for a new build of SnakeBite to come out before that, if it will come out.

Interesting. Someone else mentioned an issue with a retexture mod, so it's possible that they redefined a few files for some reason. Leave it to Konami to somehow break a perfectly good game 5 years after release.

I guess, but why the hell would they mess with texture files now?
From what I know this was supposed to be a terms of agreement update.
Anyway I uninstalled every single mod and SnakeBite, validated the files and all textures were fine, I'm planning to reinstall the mods I had, either with the current build of SnakeBite or with the next one that may be coming out soon I hope.

I wanna see if the textures will still be broken or not.
But I'm gonna do that later today, I have an exam in 6 hours XD

From Snakebites dev, posted to Nexus comment section

BEFORE LETTING STEAM FULLY INSTALL THE UPDATE:

In your Steam Library, right-click on MGSV:TPP, click "Properties..." click on the "UPDATES" tab and change "Automatic updates" to "Only update this game when I launch it."

Uninstall SnakeBite from your game by going to its "Settings" menu and clicking on the "Restore Backup Game Files" will restore your game to its vanilla, pre-SnakeBite state.

Only then can you allow Steam to download the update, and when it's done, you can launch SnakeBite and reinstall it into the game, and install all your mods back through it.

IF THE STEAM UPDATE HAS ALREADY OVERWRITTEN THE GAME FILES:

Remove <Steam Directory>/steamapps/common/MGS_TPP/snakebite.xml, /master/chunk0.dat, /master/a_chunk7.dat, /master/a_texture7.dat, /master/0/00.dat, /master/0/01.dat, and any of their backups.

Let Steam revalidate the game files. Make sure the vanilla game runs with no issues.

Reinstall SnakeBite and your mods.

So I was correct in my assumption, thanks.
