MGS 2. E-F Connecting Bridge *Stuck*

I understand this is not the same game. But in MGS 2, I'm stuck on the E-F connecting bridge, in shell 1. I just spoke with Cybord Ninja and head for the shell 1 core. I'm an idiot, because I forgot my AK... Now I traversed the bridge and the floor pannels fell down. I am going to go back to strut F and get the AK but the pannels are down and I keep falling into the water. Is there a detour, or any way I can cross? Stupid decision, I know.... :P

You can hang on the railing to circumvent the fallen panels, I think. It's been a while..

Ya, tried that immediatly after I posted it... Sorry xD. Thanks though. Funny, I never really thought hanging like that was useful.

You can do pullups to increase your grip as well, just in case you didn't know that (since you said you never thought of hanging as useful)

That's really cool. I'm in a similar situation myself. I played 1, 2 and 3 when they were released and part of Portable Ops. I also played Ground Zeros and recently purchased The Phantom Pain but I felt like I'd be missing out if I didn't brush up since the subplots in the story have always been a bit confusing for me. I watched a bunch of videos/read the wiki and although it took awhile it was a great way to spend the day.
