Is there a way to completely delete save data?
I did the delete save data in the menu, but every time I start a new game, all my old crap STILL carries over. I have 8,000,000 GMP, ridiculous amount of resources, and my rewards section is littered with multitudes of even more GMP and resources, and I have dozens of tanks vehicles and turrets worth a total of an additional 4 mil.

Its like a cheat, its not even fun and I want to earn my stuff and have a purpose and point to collecting resources. Does anyone know how to get rid of that? I just want a fresh start, this is the third time Ive had to sit through the prologue and first missions only to find out afterwards that nothing has changed.

I think its saving my profile data from past playthroughs, because I keep getting notifications of successful FOB defense, despite not even being at the point in the game where you get access to multiple FOBs.

Unaccept the online EULA. Start a new save. And you have a clean slate...

But the online stuff, no, I don't think that can be wiped...

As far as I know, the only way to truly have a "fresh start" in MGSV is by making a second Steam account and using family share to play the game on the second account. The game apparently keeps track of your online stuff, like online stored resources and such, even if you delete your save data and there's no real way to delete that.

I can confirm what Sonitit254 said when I had a power outage my PS3 fried so I had to replace it and started a new file when I finished mission 22 Retake the Platform after going through the FOB tutorial I noticed I still had all the online stuff from before I had to restart. This leaves me to believe that the online data for MGO3 and FOBs are account locked be it a steam account, a Microsoft account for X-box live or PlayStation Network.

There is a way to reset all your resources, GMP, vehicles and stationary guns, but it involves using cheat engine.

However purchased waters for FOBS as well as any online development projects you've finished will not be reset and cannot be reset.

Thus why the only real way is to make a new steam account and family share.

I confirm this option. Having created a new account of the steam (you will need to share the library of games between your family accounts), you can start the game with a full zero.

Do all this steps and you will get a fresh game.

First you gotta do is, go to Steam settings and turn off cloud. Close Steam.
Then turn off your internetconnection for your PC completely. (Turn off your adapter or pull the cable out).
Restart Steam in offline mode.

Then go to your local disk / programs (X86) / Steam / userdata / 402553181 / 28700 / local and delete everything inside that folder. (Folder ,,local" is now empty).
Then go to local disk programs (X86) / Steam / userdata / 402553181 / 311340 / remote and delete everything inside that folder too.

Now start a new game. And play the prologue and finish the first mission till you sitting in your chopper. When you done, close the game via menu. (You see that the game is saving right now)

Close Steam. Turn on your internetconnection again.
Start Steam in online mode. Start game. When you sitting in your chopper, close game again via menu. (game is saving again).

Now go to Steam settings and turn on cloud.
Start game. Now Steam ask you if you want to upload or download savefile to Steam cloud. Choose upload. Game is starting and you are done.

Have fun.

In theory that wouldn't reset your online data which is set on the server. That would not really be any different than clicking "Delete Save Data" on the main menu.

All of your online content still remains. FOB's and Online items remain. The only way to truely start over from scratch with nothing is to create a family share account and do it from the 2nd account because your online stuff is tied to your Steam account.

I played the single player part till mission 33 or 34. First FOB platforms where finished.
Then i decided to start a new game and done all this steps and nothing remained from my last playthrough. No soldiers, no FOB, no GMP. This is less then 6 months ago...
You have to do all steps exactly like i wrote, then the server data will get overwritten.

What about any gold level items? or did you not buy any gold level items on the first play through? Everything I knew about the game always said online data remains.

Edit: It also sounds like you didn't have FOB2, 3 or 4, which might explain it since your first FOB is free and you didn't have any of the ones you pay for.

I still think you're wrong. You only saw what you saw because you didn't have anything that was actually retained within the online servers. Your first FOB is free and you didn't have any gold level items, so functionally, you just saw the exact same you would have if you just deleted your save file from the main menu.

This stuff would be gone 100%
For the gold items i cant tell....

Gold items and FOBs (assuming you actually paid for FOB2, 3 and 4.) do not leave when you restart a game.
