the voice is different but then again, i also have to think about jill in rev 1 that she also looked diffrently and her voice sounded different as well. maybe the rev games are so different that capcom wants different looks and voices for female protagonists??
Creepy.
Lol, ok I gotta give it to you for that one. I was gonna go "not everyone is a supermodel" approach but this made me laugh.
While I can only ponder at whether her design was changed to appeal to those acronym types, in the end, like most of what Capcom attempts these days the execution doesn't seem very good. As a counterpoint, Barry does look a little closer to his original design, though he should actually have a bit more grey if we're going to be serious about the whole passage of time thing.
And again, utimately it's irrelevant because the lower quality in game models (vs the prerendered ones) are less noticeably different and those are the ones you're going to see the most of.
Now I've written too many words about some digital woman's changing face, in order to reply to someone's attempt at humorous snark. Oh dear.
Claire's model looks almost nothing like her original and while I'm ecstatic that she doesn't look like a 20-something supermodel I'm rather disappointed that she's supposedly pushing mid-30s and seems to have had enough plastic surgery to rival Joan Rivers. I don't think they even attemtped to realistically age Claire in so much as they just stretched her face out, changed her nose, pushed her chin a bit, then slapped a ponytail on her head and called it a day.
There's no doubt that this character is just as pretty but the fact remains: this isn't the Claire Redfield we've come to know and love and the fact that even her VA is different signifies that CAPCOM didn't actually care about consistency, they just wanted another cash cow.
The game's a brick to boot.
I called it before this was a cash grab fundraiser for RE7 and I'd be suprised it got continued support after E3 if even. (3 months)
That being said, the voice actor is superior to Court and fits the character better. I'm so glad for both these changes tbh.
But yeah lbr here, don't expect much. Natalia is the best looking character and I suspect she was leftovers from whatever the original project might have been. Her freckles are cute. :(
