Deluxe edition question.

So I already own episode 1 for this game, But I found a decently priced key for the deluxe edition.
My question is what will happen if i buy the key and try to use it on my account?
Will it just add the dlc im missing to the game? Will it add a whole seperate RE: REV 2 game to my library? Or will it not work at all? Thanks for any help. :D

This is a question I would expect from someone new on Steam, not an account with an 8-year badge.

You can see on the store that this is an episodic game that has Ep1 in the main page and all other content in the form of DLCs. So, like with any other game that has a GOTY/Deluxe/Gold/Whatever edition and was released in the past 6 years, Deluxe will give you all the DLCs, nothing more.
