Save migration
Hi guys,

So I'm about to buy the game but wanted to know something. I've played it already on a friend's account and wanted to know if I can transfer the save using the technique described here : https://www.xpgamesaves.com/threads/pc-resident-evil-revelations-2-game-save.122532/

under the Steam version paragraph.

If not can I use it with a c d x save of another friend (he's about the same level in raid and this is the main thing that matters, I already finished the story mode, so I mostly want to "somewhat" carry over/be about at the same level I was in raid) ?

Thanks in advance everyone ;)

Disable cloud sync, before over-writing the files.

So it will work otherwise and keep my Raid progression, there won't be some kind of corrupted mismatch or Steam account id check ?

It's always a good habit to have a backup.
I have not tried, but only replacing the save file should have no issue.

Apparently, this game does not save SteamID into the save file. At least people have managed to use that 100% save file. Problem was, they couldn't un-use it any more.
So, if you have a profile you saved for yourself, you can use that, yes.
Although if you played through family share on your own PC, you just need to buy the game and your profile will be there by default.

Yeah that's the thing, I didn't use family share :( It's actually tied to HIS account ! Guess I'm gonna give both methods a try ! Only got ONE character to 65 so I guess that's fine :P

Okay, bad news, seems like the save files are tied to steam account. You cannot just take save file from one account and use it in another account. Not sure if its same with family share.

Recent re-installation of steam wiped my save. Lost all 15 Lv100 characters, 10+Lv100 guns, many high lv parts (and Lv10 soul stealer). Saves maybe gone, but player's skill lingers X-D.

I will just move on to other games.

Oh crap ! I feel for you dude :S Must have been quite some play time =/

I don't feel bad at all, its the experience that counts. Left lots of games with hundred+ hrs of play.

Games will naturally reach a conclusion and end, like a good story, good journey.

Avoid games that is all about stats and loot grinds, sadly almost all triple A games are about those.

Loot grinds can be fun IMHO ^^ You get to decide when the journey ends ;) well some people become overly compulsive about getting the best build but that's their problem :P
