Fixes and Content!

Hello Patients!

We have been hard at work fixing the bugs in the game! Additionally, we wanted to give you all some replayability so we cooked up a harder game mode. We wish you all the best of luck in completing it.

New Content

Steam Achievements! Play through the game and collect achievements as you perform certain feats.
New game mode: Hard mode! This mode can be toggled on and off in the main menu's options. In this mode:
- Progress through a board with no item tiles.
- Play with the possibility of consecutive encounters.
- Lose all your fingers and fail the game after losing a single encounter.
Added new prompts for certain ability uses.
New Environmental elements.
Updated certain models.

Bugs Fixed

Encounter rate adjusted to prevent back-to-back encounter tiles in normal mode.
Item text adjusted for certain items, as some descriptions were inaccurate.
Joker card bugs fixed, as this ability was soft locking players at times.
Game board now resets upon completion, win or lose. This was preventing players from playing again.

Edit: We have been made aware of bugs preventing players from progressing in either game mode, as well as some other minor bugs. These have now been addressed and are fixed in a new minor update. Thank you for your patience and feedback.

I beat the game, now what?

I beat the game, came back to a partially revealed board. I thought to myself: "Ok, so let's reveal the whole board and see what happens". I did do that, but nothing happens after that which was kind of disappointing. Is it supposed to be that way? I am not critizising as it is a free game and all and I did have quiet a bit of fun, I was just wondering if that's supposed to happen....

Suggestion

Have the default screen being that you are looking at the board, and then with the option to switch to the cupboard or recorder. As returning to the seat is just an extra click that isn't needed when trying to do anything.

I'm not quite sure what this game is going for. I think it feels like Inscryption and the Resident Evil 7 black jack games were big inspirations.

I like the visuals, and it could be a cool roguelite with a LOT more planning and understanding.

However, I would not suggest this because the game dev has made the transition between rooms be a flickering light that blinks completely on and off a bunch of times, in the same pattern, ever time. AND it does this EVERY time you switch location. There's absolutely no need for it. When making a game, please understand that your player is now going to have to sit through this transition over, and over, and over and this one is not fun to look at and hurts the eyes. Just no reason for it. Turn it off.

Joker is still buggy

First bug I think was already known, where past game's Jokers build on top of another. i.e I pull 2 jokers game 1, and in game 2 I pull one joker and it activates, allowing me to select a hand.... twice, apparently. Kinda screwed me over in one game. Oh well. Bonus: the 2nd time you choose a hand, it discards all the cards, death and safe alike. 2nd is that I used the jokers (a normal trio, nothing buggy) to remove my death cards, and they WERE removed from my hand, but then one of the remaining cards I h...

Animations are slow and get in the way

When someone loses a finger, your camera is locked and you cannot see how death card count changes, how many death cards are in your new or enemy hand. And almost all animations take several seconds to complete, I know you spent time drawing these and they look cool the first time you see them, but after some time you want to skip them and, you know, play the actual game....

Hello Patients

We want to say thank you for the incredible support you have given us on release!

That being said we are aware of the variety of bugs that have appeared in the build. We will be doing extensive QA testing to ensure we can push an update by the end of the week to fix these issues. Your patience would be greatly appreciated as we are all students starting our next school quarter.

Known Bugs/Issues

Game board storing progress even after winning the game
Drawing a joker card as your last card results can occasionally softlock players
QOL changes: Animation times, difficulty levels, monster tile positions

We will be addressing game-breaking bugs first, QOL changes will be dependent on how much time we have this week.
