Field of View locked at 105
Is there any way to bypass the FOV cap of 105? Reddit, web, file edits and mods were unable to solve this issue ever since the game launched. Thought if anyone maybe the Steam community knows how to figure this one out

Try out "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora photomode tools v1.0.1" from Otis_Inf

"Features:

Timestop / game pause control (not in cutscenes!)
Camera paths support ('dolly cam') for defining moving camera trajectories for movies.
Game speed control (slow-motion, speed up)
Frameskip
HUD toggle
Hotsampling (resize the game window to any resolution)
Time of Day control
Pillarbox/letterbox removal in custom aspect ratios
Configurable input interpolation for smooth camera movement/rotation/fov zoom in/out
Configurable keybindings
Configurable gamepad buttonbindings"

"Camera control: (Also in photomode)"
Based on this, I'm assuming this mod was meant for non photomode of the game to use your own custom settings while roaming around, and some stuff can be used while in the game owns version of photomode.

Also you can get more fov by changing your aspect ratio and resolution, that is if you're hellbent on fov alone.
Dunno why you would need more fov than what the game has already, 90 is like perfect.
You can also disable sprint fov change.

Yes i already tried it and the fov described in the Photomode mod is exclusively for the photomode aka. taking photos. There is no option in that mod to increase FOV for your gameplay

Me too, its a good game but it would be so much better with higher FOV and higher Viewmodel FOV. Thanks for your info on what you already tried, helps a lot.

I asked too to Ubisoft.

105 is not enough !

I play in VR with VorpX and it's the most beautiful VR games you can get (except Metro Exodus), but 105 is a ridiculously narrow FOV.

120 would be a lot better.

You should at least be able to change it in ini files without limit (except engine limit, probably 180).

I tried to modify it in C:\Users\[me]\Documents\My Games\AFOP\persistent_settings.cfg but it returns to 80 if you go above 105.

They don't care about PC they just release on PC because it's an easy way to get more $$ for their mainstream console game.
Maybe it is a limitation of the engine they are using? Remember when they made silent hill 1 so many years ago? They limited the view due to hardware issues. Maybe they did the same thing in this game to prevent hardware issues with lower end pc's?
