Is there a certain opponent that specifically gives you trouble?
Christmas Miracle is also a map where the Encounter Panels are completely optional.
It's THAT rabbit santa (Aur?) somehow speedrunning into the level 6. I don't have many chances, but I try to deter her where I can.
It may help to bring cards that are expensive (Super All-Out Mode, Little War, Sealed Guardian, etc.) and avoid using them yourself (CPU players seem to use these cards whenever they can). Avoid bringing Portable Pudding, Extend, Dinner, or Pudding. Mimic can get some use if you're lucky, especially if you play as Fernet (don't use her Hyper unless you can guarantee a KO on everyone else) or anyone else with a pricey Hyper besides Marc (her 4 HP will cost you time on Recovery rolls).
Your best bet it an offensive character like Yuki or Kai with cards like Dash!, Party Time, Overtime, and Gentleman's Battle (if you have it).
This and the bit about mimic are correct though.
Aru is fragile and mostly doesn't like to pick fights. So chase her down and attack her lots until you can finish her off and steal all the stars she's been collecting from her hyper.
However, the fact that she has crap for battle stats, -1/-1/+2, means that you should basically treat her as a punching bag whenever possible.
I wonder if it'll also help to bring battle cards that increase attack power; she can't do as much with them as you can if you already have good attack power.
This is in addition to vgma2's suggestion that you bring cards that can't be used easily. Aru's hyper generates stars out of nowhere by giving people cards; if you clog up everyone's hands with expensive cards, she can only gain 10 stars from it. (If everyone's hands are empty, she can gain 130 stars.)
I looked up what this episode features as your opponents and they are Aru, Fernet, and Poppo. The bad news is that they won't fight each other. The good news is that they aren't very inclined to fight you either. You can just bring your best fighting unit, and Marc will do just fine here. Fernet will just keep taking damage and eventually fall, as will Poppo. Aru's the only one with positive evasion among your enemies, but if you keep bullying her you're likely to break through and you only need to get lucky a couple times or so to flatten her.
FYI, Marc's hyper can be awkward to use since its usefulness changes over the course of a match, but one of its best uses is to weaken an opponent in front of you (since you know what their HP is and you know exactly how much your hyper will do -- i.e. exactly your norma level) just so you can swoop in for the kill and grab half their stars. Note that this tactic will not work on Aru if you're already at level 5 (since this will just KO her all the way), so if you have any hypers on you you should watch your opponents' HP levels.
Using this tactic on Fernet and Poppo is particularly fruitful since they are relatively unable to avoid your attacks.
Given that this board is relatively sparse on battle panels, you should not rely on wins norma (unless you by chance already have it finished). Your hyper is thus not very useful for generating wins; rather, it's only useful for softening up opponents in preparation for mugging them. Pretty much the only time you should use your hyper simply to cause KO is someone is about to win (i.e. 200 stars and within 6 spaces of either their home or fighting someone who is on another home panel) and you are desperately in need of stopping them. (And maaaaybe if you are in very early game and can use that card to generate 2 wins in order to quickly get to norma level 3 right that turn.)
Marc incidentally also has reasonably decent stars on her own, and doesn't really rely on card usage. So it's less of a problem to clog up your own hand with useless cards.
FYI, between SAOM, Little War, and Sealed Guardian, I recommend Little War. SAOM could potentially benefit everyone, so I feel meh about it. I do not recommend Sealed Guardian if you are playing Marc, since you have negative evade; you'd be doing Aru a favor if someone else plays it unexpectedly, since at 1 HP everyone is reliant on evade rolls.
Field: Christmas Miracle
Opponents: Poppo, Aru, Fernet
Event: Miracle
Conclusion: Good map and event for these characters (Poppo and Aru for their exceptionally good star-gathering and Fernet for her extreme endurance), so your best bet will be:
* Timing a really powerful attack (Accel Hyper, SAOM+Big Magnum, etc) to one-hit-kill them;
* Mimicking Poppo/Aru's hyper for yourself and use them properly;
* Weakening them through prolonged battles (Little War, Last Battle, continuous attacking, etc).
* Bringing cards with high costs (not gonna lie this one helped me so many times).
People have elaborated about it detailed enough, so may luck find you.
once you understand how this game works and all characters gimmicks it will be easy to finish all single player campaign even on rigged RNG extreme difficulty, hell I didn't even finish singleplayer campaign until I have 1k hrs playtime irrc
if you play singleplayer to unlock characters then I suggest you to play on casual difficulty
But it almost doesn't matter which one you do; the only thing you don't get from playing Casual is the achievement unlocks.
(If you are playing in Expert)
