Ellie, lulu, and Mio lore. [Potential Spoiler Alert]

I was replaying the Mio's campaign on Extreme, then I saw the end card showing the hooded travelers, which I did not understand at the time.
Now I realize that the two figures are Ellie and Lulu. While I was on the OJ wiki I saw this message about Eliie which reads "Ellie is a character originating from the game 100% Orange Juice!. She travels with her friend Lulu in a quest to find her mama, who she believes is in this world. She first appeared in the Bounty Hunters event."
Does that mean Mio is Lulu's mother? And is this alluded to in their campaign?

But the one looking for her mother is Ellie.
Their campaign is only about how they met and how they started wandering around together.

First time Lulu was seen publicly was within a month of Mio's inclusion. Considering that the end-art for Halloween was allegedly redrawn to keep a particular character's hands from being seen, it's a bit uncharacteristic for Lulu to be rendered with both the wrong skin tone and without her gloves.
Another thing to take note of is the similarity in costume between Ellie and Suguri, notably the hood -- similar parallels exist between YukiD and half of the Sora cast, PoppoM and Sumika, and between Tomomo and Mio.

I definitely think Ellie is in the end CG for Mater of Minions, but I'm not entirely convinced Lulu is. The figure standing behind Ellie in the CG doesn't have Lulu's beast hands, and the figure's hands are very much so visible in the art.

That said though, entirely agree that this was all a massive tease for Ellie's story to unfold.

lulu was even less finished than ellie was which is why ellie got to at least have her face whereas lulu had nothing recognizable in the cg

it's implied from the dialogue in the bonus level in the dlc campaign you get after beating the final level within 20 chapters
