But in Coop it's a bigger deal, and i agree it should be added.
Although I do want this option too, I always thought the reason this was not implemented was to prevent people from cheesing certain achievements, like for example those which needs cards like Wanted or Lost Child (by purposefully selecting only characters that use them in their decks).
Of course, considering you could always rig matches with friends or reset until you get specific characters, it doesn't really matter anyway, and all of that wouldn't impact co-op at all, so yeah, I do hope they'll eventually give us that choice.
I know, but I guess picking them would be way faster and easier than reroll until you get the right combination. As for campaign, while you can change the difficulty, fixed players and maps mean you can't increase your chances of getting certain cards, set multiples of the same character, put the ones you want on a certain map or change field events.
Again, I do agree it doesn't matter much (which I why I'm with the op and hope they'll eventually let us choose them), but this is the only reason I can think of that might have held the devs back.
Anyone trying to spam single player for achievements will find a stupid way to get them eventually anyway, and I can't think of any other practical reason why this shouldn't be done other than perhaps the investment of time that could be used on other things.
