same voice with a lower pitch for comparision.
The new guy just sounds too suave for a quake announcer. Almost like he's at dinner party with a martini casting a quake game, lol
Oh and he has a number of videos where he does voices on youtube. Apparently he's famous for doing the voice work for some Dragon Ball Z characters. Even if he's not everyone's cup of tea in QL, he seems to be a pretty talented voice actor.
Apart from the original guy, Who would you have as your custom announcer.
In Q3 I use to have this awesome sound pak that replaced the "Excellent" with a Samuel L Jackson quote from Pulp Fiction. Every time you'd get an Excellent you'd hear SLJ saying "Shhe-eee-iiit N-e-g-r-o". I swear I laugh just typing it out again....too funny.
I remember once I replaced the hitsound in a different game for Homer Simpson's DOH!
