game dont work

Ive tried everything, windows 8,,, 7.... run as admin... delete config... none of it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ works. The game just runs for a split second then the little steam button goes back to "play". Launching from the .exe tells me MVCSP100.dll is missing, BUT I JUST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ REINSTALLED THAT AND IT DIDN'T FIX ♥♥♥♥. Please if anybody knows why this isnt working tell me

Strange I've scanned with "Everything" but don't seem to actually have that file installed at all on a win11 machine.
Steam is supposed to reinstall any resdistributables a game needs on first run, or when you verify the game files, so you could try that.

Steam changed to keep the redists in a shared directory instead of separate ones for each game, a web search says that should be in the c++ 2010 redist and you will find the installers for that under this folder from your Steam install-

\Steam\SteamApps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2010

The game is 32bit only so you only need the x86 install, but there is no harm installing both.

Hasn't worked for me either in months
It does seem to validate but it's still borked
It's fine I guess I'll go gauntlet pummeling in QC
I don't have my laugh taunt flex moves over there tho
Combo finishers just aren't not the same without that ; \

There has been some issue with older c++ versions on win 11 when I looked into it

Are you running any security software/antivirus other than what comes with Windows by default?

Check antivirus logs (if you have one installed) sometimes these can quarantine a file out of a blue

if reinstalling the game, updating all the drivers, specially the video card driver to the latest version still not working, then just reinstall windows. recommending windows 11, or minimum windows 10, not working otherwise
