Steam says Quake Live is in my library but it's not. Help!!!!
I've searched up and down my games library but I can't find it anywhere. I can't even buy the game now. And yes, I've installed the game once and have played it a few times. Help please!

No, it is not installed in my library. I've already used the search bar and it does not show up. I just restarted steam too.
In your steam library, you can filter your games. If you have it set to "installed," click it and change it to "games."
If you have it not installed right now, go to the Store page and click "play now", it will then install it

I have the same problem....nothing helped
If you have the License of Quake Live in your account details then yes you DO own it and can install it by going to quake live's steam page and clicking 'Play now"

Okay! That did help and I was able to install and play the game. However, when I uninstall the game, it does not stay in my library.
Valve needs to make a way to keep F2P(yeh its not F2P anymore, but anyone who tried it gets it bound to their account) games in your library once deleted. Otherwise it removes itself from your library and you have to search for it everytime in the store.

i noticed that as well. It's kinda stupid. The game just disappears from your library as soon as you uininstall it. If you want to reinstall it you have to search for it in the steamstore and click "play". Hope this gets fixed.

Here as well, game is missing from library. Was not installed.
You have it just do what everyone says
Same happened to me yesterday when I cleared the local content. Look in your steam apps quake folder (X:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Quake Live) for a numbered folder. Take everything in that folder and copy it into the Quake Live folder. Head over to https://www.quakelive.com/ and hit Play Now or Install latest Launcher. This should reinstall the game for you free of charge.

My problem, which had me clear the contents, was due to a VAC timeout error that kept me from joining any servers. My VAC standings are good. Anyone else have that problem?

It happens when VAC services aren't able to communicate properly for some reason.

- You could try changing Steam Settings - Downloads - Download Region.

- Reinstall Steam itself (don't delete your games or anything, just reinstall over the top), and cross your fingers, this should fix any steam services if they've been removed/disabled or damaged. That's worked for a lot of people but far from all.

The other known causes are various anti virus and security apps can cause this, either always or after a faulty update.

Or it could just be some random OS problem which sadly means you might never be able to track it down specifically but be stuck with having to try a clean OS reinstall :(

Beyond that you'd have to wade through the results of a web search for "VAC timeout error" and hope one of many suggested solutions could help, it's not entirely uncommon :/

I have that problem forever, steam support did not help me, I've opened a ticket twice.
It just appear if I install it from the store.
