No anisotropic filtering?

It's terrible that a 15 year old engine doesn't have anisotropic filtering. WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!

If you're looking for a game that's all about graphics then you're in the wrong place... 90% of people play with pretty much everything disabled.

Actually, you can force anisotropic filtering in your graphics card settings. I can't speak for integrated graphics, but dedicated graphics cards absolutely have that option. I just tested and re-confirmed that it does, in fact, work with Quake Live on Steam.

Antialiasing doesn't work for me, and I can't remember why exactly, but I do remember that it's the fault of my graphics card software, not the game.

Do you notice a difference when you do it in the vid card settings? I turned on everything to the max settings, and I don't notice any change in the visuals or framerate.

Quake 3's capable of it, ioQuake3 has anisotropic filtering.

As was pointed out, it can be turned on in QL as well.
