Indeed. And it's even requires more skill to hit somebody when it's so hard to guess is he behind a wall or not :-)

To the OP:
I don't know. I've seen like 2-3 cheater since QL released. But in the last couple of weeks I met with two obvious ones, one wallhacker and I accidentally demoed an aimbot as an afk spectator - I just realised it later, LG switching between targets there and back quickly with pixel accuracy, keeping on target through walls and pillars and preaiming in unusual situations in a very "binary", unhuman manner.
And of course I've been hearing a lot of accusations lately aswell but I wouldn't bet my head on them.

So the problem definietly exists but I can't even guess how serious it is. To be honest, I don't even care, I just feel the deepest pity for anybody who feels he has to cheat in a video game - it is the perfect evidence of a pathetic life. So just let them have their cheap joy :-)

I am open to the idea that is worse , there are so many new players with crazy kd ratios but as my clan server has very good admins I doubt they wouldn't ban anyone dodgy so they must be just really good. I feel if I am still coming 2nd to these guys and I hardly play anymore then , then they are just in no life mode , been there not going back.

Saying that I played a FFA game 2 weeks top player finished on 55-14 , I was second and he never fragged me once barely even saw him, so using wh to get easy kills from noob spawners I wondered. ..,

@ TzeroX Youtube has so many quake live hacks its not even funny , go look at how they work there and u will understand, they ussaly come out at night thow on EU servers , late night , guess they are trying to hide or something since they mostly play at night , but u have em at daytimes to , and yeah its on the high ranked tier servers mostly its used , not on regular tier 3 pub games but they are there also at times.

before steam only you could find a cheater every 2-3 game, now they seems to be less but there are also lot of suspicious people(and finding if a "high skilled guy" has wallhack, is hard and requires lot of pov from him, just take zhu for example, it took a long time to get him banned for wallhack because he was good at hiding it)

Thats the problem , its the good tier 4 players using the hacks , so its easyer for them to mask the wallhack and even aimboting.

All I know I was shown a hack by an old duel partner who was quitting the game due to real life. He told me almost all of the people in his tier used it. Everyone that hung out together in their clan all had it.
Even relatively recently, playing iFT there was a person who was over 100 pts at the end of the match, normally this person doesn't get over 30 on a good day.
So saying people don't use these......I have seen tons of proof that the opposite is true.
Just check youtube, there's still new videos being uploaded with pov of the botters.
I get there are amazing players out there, but just a heads up; watch tourneys like IEM or Quakecon. You'll never find players showing this kind of precognitive ability in knowing where the player is.
Players like Rapha, and Cypher and Cooller etc, they'll go quiet and sometimes just stand still to listen to where the player is, just hoping to figure out where they are.
Yes these "top tier" players would have you believe that they are better at this game then big money winners. What a joke.

Right before QL went to steam only there were lots of hackers. I was having to report/demo people every day. I do not see as many now but still at times yes and hope VAC bans them.

Everybody knows hacks exist and it's probably not a good diea to make it even easier to find them. The existence of said hacks isn't of any help when it comes to determining the proportion of the playerbase using them though.

Totally agree with Kittykatt and Lethal.
This game is now without support or any kind of protection.
Anyone with a little bit of knowledge about programming can cheat, trust me.
