Can't click anything in the menu

I tried if changing the resolution fixes it by using tab to coordiante through the menu but it didn't help. Does someone now a fix ?

Each server on the list has a yellow play ">" button. Can you click on those?

im getting the same issue started 3 days ago .cant view store broken ssl cant report to steam .havent got any controllers plugged in apart from mouse n keyboard nothings changed .downloaded game on another pc copied files over .it played once .i replaced my configs it never started again nothings clickable ? srsly confused .im on xp .no router or firewall issues on same conection diff pc no firewalls on .just started for no reason .

Right click quakelive_steam.exe and choose properties. There will be tabs, one of which is compatability. Check the box for "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" or override high DPI settings depending on what windows you have.

i reinstalled steam on another pc copied entire thing over to this pc still wouldnt work .deleted qzconfig game ran and menu was selectable .once steam had a game in library the rest now download . still get sll error on everything but frindslist and library tho .this error occoured over night so im guessing something got corrupt .anyone whos had this problem cant make steam aware there accounts rendered useless because you have to open ticket thru steam browser ,pretty stupid procedure

ps im on xp there is no scaling settings but thank you .still havent resolved the broken ssl in store issue yet tho .being i copied over a install i know worked and could view store on and still wont view store on this pc .ive checked web and its not down to my op sys as win 10 users vista and 7 are mainly the 1s stating they have a problem . clocks are all the right times cache and game been deleted many times .non of the so called fixes on utube solve it nor does changing region .

You might never slove it i'm afraid. xp has been out of support for over 3 years now. No one knows what kind of malware has been written for it at this point. You really need to get on at least windows 7. That will very probably solve all your issues..

its not op sys relevent if you google search you see its mostly win7 and 10 owners having the problem .ssl is a browser certificate and nothing to do with op system .its totally down to steam

In the quake console -
\in_joystick 0
\in_restart

then you won't have to unplug it to play Quake with it not interfering.

I've got the same problem.
Can't click on anything in the main menu. It highlights in yellow and the mouse cursor works, but can't select anything.
