Is there Quake for casuals?

I came here from QC. I dont play at Quake at my childhood, I played more at CS. But as adult I really love this game. But there a lot of ubermenshs at this game. And QC have awful netcode and graphics. Visual of QL I more like. Is there any way to play at this game like casual?

I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt while playing. I think a business suit would be uncomfortable and restricting to play in. Just my opinion.

Quake is so fast that it takes a lot of times to adapt, especially when you come from a slow game like counter strike...

I played both and honestly i'm an average player in counter strike but i really suck in Quake :D...The skill ceiling in Quake is really high.

Free for All game type, a.k.a. "FFA", is the most "casual" game type ever. You don't need to worry if you're a noob/casual/whatever you call it. FFA is chaotic, but fun!
I can recommend you a cool server----> "HOMER Germany Side | Frankfurt cool PING", just search for "homer" in the game browser, you will find it.

Try Diabotical on EGS. It's free and almost the same as Quake besides from the tech side it's almost perfect, much better than QC if you don't mind different art style. Not that many players though, so you will probably have to play in the evenings. There is also a community called Diabotical District and there's quite a possibility you are gonna find some not so good players there to play together. I mean - no harm in trying, right?

If you are particularly interested in playing DUEL, and you are NEW, for the next 3 saturdays there are amatuer duel tournies going on that would be great for someone trying to learn. I don't know if it is region restricted though. Diabotical District is hosting it.

I do also recommend Diabotical as a great alternative to QL. Both QL and DBT have ubermensch players. If you have the determination, you will improve though. :)

Diabolical is dead in my country, we tried to keep it alive as much as possible, in the end the season 2 changes killed it, everyone just abandoned it and went back to quake, everyone who tried to keep it alive eventually returned to quake live instead.

Unlike QC, where the midweight has 50 armor and an enhanced defense bonus, you start with 0 armor and the damage cutoff is low, so you need to keep your armor high to feel safe.
And the initially equipped MG is a really unreliable weapon with 5 damage.

It's called Fast Pace, but while it's fast on its feet, it's not a tool for movement, and without RL or other weapons, it's not going to start anything.
It's a tight game that requires you to be very cautious in order to recover.
Whether you can endure it or not will determine whether you can continue playing Quake or not.
(QL is often a one-sided game that can't be easily regained once the kill.)

If you are new to Quake, I suggest you start with the Q3 campaign, DUEL on each map with the QL Nightmare BOT, and QC BOT battles.
(Of the BOTs, as far as I know, QC probably has the best movement)

It's a waste of time for the opponent to fight against a lower level player who doesn't understand the game and doesn't understand how to fight for items by managing the timer. /.

(Honestly, I would steer you towards QC)
