But, do not expect anything more! The professional players of Quake Live left this game after Quake Champions (terrible game by the way) and the developers no longer care about QL or update anything.
So Quake Live is still a great FPS, super solid, fun, cheap, but never expect full servers like in CS: GO, OverWatch or Paladins. It is clearly a niche game.
And if there are not people on servers atm, do what people do in fighting communities. Aka, pick up games. You leave a message in discord, or IRC or whatever place , and others who there react and u communicate when and how play. That's how it is for quake's cpma scene.
