Strafe Jump Expert Help!

Hey.
I have been wanting to improve on quake champions so I got this game to practice.
Problem is I cannpt seem to finnish the trarining course for strafe jumping.
I can do levels 1 and 2 flawlessly usually, but I cannot for the life of me do the expert one.
I usually only get to the 3rd one and crash and die. I have only got to the 4th one like twice in 200 attempts.

It's hard to explain with pure words.
Best add someone who can show you how to do it, and join a server than runs practice maps

I find it to be easier if I switch directions every other jump.

I am not greast at strafe and circle jumping and can only complete the one you showed, somtime.

As you increase speed and the gaps get greater you need to increase your mouse movements.

I DID IT!!! OMG!!! YES!!
I was doing everything right I just needed to do a run up to pick up some initial speed!

yes you can do a run up (prejump) or a cj (circlejump) to get some intial speed before jumping

I am still not understanding this... I have done everything in the tutorial. Looked in the direction of strafe, changed mouse aiming to other strafing side. Jumped only when hitting for that split second... I gain some speed but only 500ish and then I fall.

It looks a lot faster and easier in all the tutorial videos I have been watching.

I watched that one more than the others and did it exactly how he does it but doesn't work.

Like I said... I have and I looked closely trust me I had my face almost against the monitor that is how much I was trying.

I have read other threads where people say they changed how it works making it almost impossible to do now but I am not sure if I believe that. I think I am just a little off maybe but it does seem like it is very different after watching.

I can't believe how they do it even after mimicing it exactly I am unable to do it. The only thing I haven't done is the map for training where there are platforms everywhere but I think I should be able to do it even after mimicing the exact inputs shown and mouse movements.

there is actually another way to finish this challenge, just keep - jump running, just only keep jumping like a frog forward, till you reach maximum speed then jump from the very edge of cliff and jump, jump, jump on the platforms without losing your speed.

Tried this as well and could only get to the third bridge.

I am just confused how you can teach me when I was doing exactly what the guy was doing in the video with the keyboard inputs and mouse movements. How could you teach me when I can't even see what your typing or doing? I would just see you jumping around.
