Is it actually worth it?

I mean, it's 30 bucks for 10-12 hours of gameplay on average. The store page however says it'll have the steam workshop, does that mean custom stories?

Is the gameplay/story worth the full 29.99?

Yes, the game comes with the custom story editor (i am already building stuff with it) so there will be custom stories for this game (workshop is already working).
The game was amazing in my opinion, i totally loved it and it was worth every penny.

I concur, I liked the previous 2 and without giving things away, the way you reach different areas was um, refreshing.

it means custom stories, mutators (add ons that change the main game), and maybe even custom monster designs. i would also like to mention that there is a possibility that assests from penumbra and amnesia might show up here in this game (as mods). reusable assets havnt been confirmed by the devs so dont quot me on this.

I say YES too. Its really a greate Game. At first i thought the same as you. 28 Euros, 7-11 hours Gameplay... Thats not a good Deal. BUT THE STORY... Oh man its really worth the Money. Also you will get many User made Content because of the Editor. I say buy it, if you like Games like Amnesia or Alien Isolation you will also like SOMA. =)

yes. you might not get length out of it, but you'll get a quality story, grippingly told.

Alright. I decided to buy the game. I've played all of the Frictional Games, so I doubt I'll be disappointed. If I am, however, I'm going to kill you and turn you into Agrippa.

This game is a work of art, and a better sci-fi experience and story than most hollywood flicks like interstellar. You can't put a price per hour on these kind of games. It just needs to be experienced.

I finished it in 7 hours. At $4.30 an hour I would have to say it was worth it for an amazing story.
