Detailed guide to sweeping the brothel

By sweeping, I mean killing all hostiles in the location.

Take Arica as she has a 1 hit backstab and can be a stronger alternative to Roman when it comes to stealth kills. Otherwise, Roman will do fine as well. A minimalist backpack would contain a knife, crowbar (or 2 lockpicks), and a sawblade (take 2 if you want the guitar part in the underground room located near where you first start off).

Start off by sprinting towards the grated door on the upper levels of the brothel. Open the door, and move on to pry open the boarded door right after it. Pay attention to the movement of the thugs. If you see movement directly below you in the room below, you might want to wait till the thug moves away before prying open the boarded door. If you see only movement on the other side of the door, start tearing off the boards but do NOT open the door just yet; the thug on the opposite side will come around from the roof to check on the noise. This is when you hide in the shadows; backstab the thug once he comes close.

The thugs two levels below will have heard the cries of their comrade. Two possible things will happen next. Either they stay where they are, or one of them will run up to check up on the noise. If the latter happens, simply go back to the hiding spot and repeat the backstab process (It will be a good idea to pick up the weapons and ammo from the thugs as backup in case you can't stealth kill the rest of the thugs.) Otherwise, walk down the stairs to where the thugs are (DO NOT RUN).

Peek through the doors where the thugs are located. If the first thug in the room with the bed isn't facing the door you're peeking through (if he's looking at his bed it's fine), proceed to open the door and sneak up to him for a backstab.

You could now either go down to repeat the backstab process on the trader, or look for the fourth thug. He would either be walking around somewhere the brothel, or be way at the back of the brothel, looking away and taking a smoke.

Either way, as long as the thugs are stationary and facing away, it's safe to sneak up to them for a backstab.

After killing all the thugs, run down to the basement and use your crowbar/lockpick on the door to free the prisoners, then run up to the storage closet near the trader to open it as well.

Congratulations. You just rid the brothel of scum.

Things to note:

1) Time is off the essence. Do not waste your time scavenging unless you're in desperate need of electric parts (There are much better locations for food/wood/parts/components). After all, you will be making a second trip to the brothel with your primary scavenger.

2) Loot all the dead thugs; their bodies will disappear the next time you return.

3) If you have enough time, pry open any boarded doors and saw open the grated door near the starting area for a quicker scavenger run the next time you return.

4) If you are near the thugs, DO NOT RUN. This strategy is based on speed, sure. But stealth is of utmost priority. I cannot stress that enough. Only run unless you're nowhere near the thugs; if they're dead; or if you're trying to get them to chase you to a hiding spot where you can kill them.

5) If you mess up and get severely/lethally wounded, quit the game and restart the day. If you somehow die, alt+f4.
