How to melt snow?

Im obviosuly been a dumbass here, But Ive collected tones of snow beacuse it says I can melt it into water, but I havnt been able to figure out how to actually do this lol. Help?

You can melt the snow with the cooking stove, and you'll need a unit of fuel and a filter.

it never really worth it though as fuel is real tough to come by in the winter, and filters fuel water production in the the other seasons. just make to to produce a lot of water if the radio tells you "Winter is coming"

If you need water in the winter, then you just need to go to the stove(you don't need to upgrade the stove). There is an option to boil water, but it only is an option during winter. You need some fuel and a filter to boil the water. It makes about the same amount as the water collector, but much faster.

To help everyone avoid confusion - it is the cooking stove, not the heater and you turn snow into water as if you are making soup (i.e. there is no icon visible in the main screen).
