People in the home
Do the number of persons that are living in the home matter at all?. I wanted to know this because every few days people keep coming in either wounded, for shelter or for food. And i keep accepting them or maybe denying them shelter.

Q: So i want to know because there isn't like a pro factor about this (game wise)?

Since its more likely someone to get sick in winter, more people to feed and when its night time and someone needs to go scaveing or either way no one goes scavenging when the next morning comes up, someone results wounded, sick.

So im doing fine with my three guys, someone thats good doing bargains, a military guy and cooky.

Yes, food consumption every day.
And that means the water and heat sources consume din addition to the food itself.

That and if you take someone in THEY ALWAYS ARE WOUNDED OR SICK.
Apparently someone cant just show up and help or bring supplies, they always need something.

Three works great for me, 1 scavenger, 1 beneficial homebody (a cook or workshop guy), and 1 to stand guard at night.

Im pretty sure you have the bets possible character setup as the cook reduces water and fuel as well as food requirements when cooking. Add that up over eveyr single day and its huge.

The bargain girl rocks when people show up to trade.

and the military guy Roman, well lets jsut say it doesnt bother his mind very much to get thigns messy :D

You want four people, as once the armed bandits event starts, you will need two people standing guard every night as well as one to scavenge with a rotation to get someone to sleep. Failing to have two guards will pretty much result in losing all your resources.

If you get one of the extremely beneficial charaters turn up (Marko or Katia for example) when you already have 4 people, they could potentially make up for the extra drain on resources, however the more 'useless' characters (Cveta for example) will more likely be problematic in the long run as they drain resources without providing benefits. I doubt it's physically possible to sustain more than five people even with an excellent set of them, so never go above five.

Three worked for me with all holes boarded up and only 1 on guard, 1 sleep, 1 scavenging.

Hahaha thanks guys, just now i have Zlata on my door (musician i guess) and well i have a good amount of food supply and meds, since my other two guys arent getting sick or sad i have them both on guard duty in the winter, while Roman scavenges for supplies. So i might just refuse to give her shelter atm.

Yes, i dont think anyone wants to waste their supplies on someone thats not doing anything other than maybe puttin her/him on guard IF she/he is not sick.

Bug: On the construction site, while i was dealing with 4 militia or bandits, as i was taking the number 3 down, he felt thru the floor and went all the way to the basement, as that happend the allready 2 that were down dissapeared. Sadly im not streaming or recording my gameplay. Hopefully this doens't happen again.

Zlata is one of the more useful characters, she raises spirits which means you worry less about depression (a major problem later into the playthrough)

Don't need to. You can rotate four people by manually sending them to bed during the day with only two beds, if you don't fast-forward the day that is.

i.e.: Character A comes back from scavenging, send him to bed. Also send character B to bed at the same time. A few hours later, they both wake up fully rested, so send character C and D to bed. They will wake up fully rested before the day ends as well. Of course, patch them up, feed them while it's not their turn to sleep.

I have four people, and every night, I have 3 of them on guard duty and one scavenging. Nobody is ever tired. I boarded the place once and every time I get raided, they get nothing and nobody is wounded.

I feed people whenever they get "Very Hungry". Being only "Hungry" doesn't seem to really affect them (except that they whine about it non-stop). So that would be every two days, not every day.
