This War of Mine
Clearing the werehouse?
I have dun goofed; In order to keep my survivors safer from thugs during a crime outbreak, I need to upgrade my metal workshop. For this I only need 2 and that's TWO electric parts. I have been to basically everywhere where it's safe, or even slightly dangerous (yes, even the Sniper Junction). I know, because I have been picking up all of the parts I find along the way, there is none in any area that is safe. None. Not even the sniper junction, if you can call that safe by any means (although there might be some there considering there is one area I haven't checked out, which is blocked by metal bar doors, but I cannot get through there, because I have no means of crafting a saw blade). And since NO trader has EVER offered to trade the electric parts to me, I'm not going to go around or wait for one to save my♥♥♥♥♥even if there's a very slim chance they will bring some.

With the scenarios I have provided to you, is there ANY way I can clear this? My characters are:
* Katia
* Bruno
* Zlata

Zlata is wounded, but can be bandaged. Katia is sad, but that's a given. Aside from that, I'm surprised we're actually doing well (aside from the weapon thing that I CAN'T FLIPPING UPGRADE).

I have a knife, 2 pistols and 5 bullets. I can't craft any armor, I can't craft any better weapons and I don't HAVE any better weapons. I could craft a shovel, but what on earth is that going to give me?

Can I even clear this area at all? Or am I just supposed to suffer till thewar is over? It is day 43. To my knowledge there are 3 thugs and I have managed to kill two of them, one at the ground floor (second kill) and one a ground above (first kill) but the moment I kill the second guy, the third guy comes out to shoot me. I could try to run away, but my chances are slim. And I'm afraid of there being more thugs the next time or them being more aware. I already ran away from them once as Katia and... Pavle was ♥♥♥♥ing killed because of glitchy mechanics -.-

As to how I keep trying and failing but not having the game go on... The X (in non-full-screen mode) marks the spot :)

The tutorials on youtube are outdated, some with Pavle clearing it, but I can't back-stab-kill the second thug at the top, because he never comes close enough to me, and I can't place the first thug close enough to me in order to kill him either. Not sure if that's a bug or not, but if not, this sure makes things hell of a lot harder, in a positive way I guess, since you can't just kill everybody by hiding and then stabbing, unless you have the right characters.

EDIT: There are only 3 thugs still, right? I keep hearing some say there's 4, but where would the 4th be? Was that added in and removed again?

There are two bandits in the right side of the building. The guy with the assault rifle patrols around the ground floor and the stairs in a predictable pattern. The guy with the shotgun hangs around on the floor with the kitchen and tends to move back and forth.

Your best bet is to attempt to lure each enemy out with noise. Hang around an alcove, jossle around a bit, and then strike the enemy when they get close. Katia and Zlata are bad fighters, so you may need to use Bruno (or someone with adequate fighting skills). The guy with the pistol hangs around the left side of the building, so once you've taken care of the first two enemies, shoot the third guy to death.
Haven't done the warehouse with Katia for a while, but vaguely remember she can sneak kill all three.

- wait until the two thugs go into the house at outset, then enter first door and look through the peephole to see what pathing they have
- usually one goes up top and the other walks up the stairs, stands there a bit and then enters the door. If so, after he goes through the door (but think you can just quietly walk to the sneakhole before he goes through as he doesn't turn around) go up the stairs, turn right and go into the sneakhole there. Make noise to bring the one above down, sneak kill himthen wait until the other comes back in and sees the body; he runs up and sneak kill him too
- then its just the one at the bottom far end. you can just shoot him or if he goes out the far door run to the sneakhole closest to the door and wait, and he comes back soon enough for another sneak kill

Sometimes the second bandit to go up the stairs just stands the other side of the door you are looking through at outset. If Roman or Boris thats a quick backstab, but suspect Katia gets into a punchup and might get injured (axe works as well as a knife), but it won't bring any of the others so its an option. I've never waited to see what he does afterwards if he lights up a cigarette and just stands there before going up the stairs, so don't know if his pathing is just delayed or not - probably.

I generally find the warehouse relatively easy (relative to the brothel or ruined villa), and the youtube videos as far as I can see are still applicable as their pathing is the same as long ago.

I'm guessing you don't have the garage, as they trade hacksaws and electrical parts. What locations do you have ? Construction site ? I f you want to avoid combat there, just go there, loot what you can at the bottom then leave, then second visit the baddies are no longer there and you can wander around safely. I'm pretty sure you have missed some electrical parts along the way as by day 43 you should be stocked to the brim with pretty much everything.

Yes - only 3 thugs at warehouse. Never seen 4.

No, the highlighted bit is the issue; that is NOT viable anymore; because the second thug doesn't get close enough for you to back-stab him fro a hiding spot anymore, and there's no way to get the first thug to come any closer to the right of the hallway, I've checked this multiple times and it hasn't worked. This mechanic might be a bug, since the third thug will get close enough from the play-through mentioned below, but this makes things hell of a lot harder and requiring more preparation; an assault rifle, at least one armour and 9 - 15 bullets, I think.

In a different play-through I was able to beat them via Marko, but I had to use an assault rifle. This ended up injuring him slightly (provided I also had a bullet-proof vest), but in the end, I was able to clear the area. It's tougher now and none of the youtube tutorials work. You can check whether the method you posted still works or not and let me know, may be capture a video. If it doesn't, then it might be a bug on my end, but I think that's kind of a good thing, considering it's not supposed to be easy, is it?
