A way to use coffee and cigarettes

My one and only complaint about this great game is that you can control when your people eat and sleep and heal, but the little bastages will smoke everything and drink all the coffee and there's not much you can do about it.

I suggest when you build a chair or armchair that it enables "coffee drinking" and "smoking" icons so YOU the player can direct the little bastages to go smoke or drink coffee, rather than them randomly doing it or just having the supplies magically disappear.

It makes little sense that as their god you can let them bleed to death, die of illness, or starve - but you have no control over their use of luxury goods.

At least the little bastages stay out of the alcohol - I'm surprised they don't just drink it all every time you make some.

It's war, I want to ration out when my people drink coffee or smoke.

PS - I have zero desire to try the exploit of keeping a cabinet around to "hide" stuff from my survivors and/or bandits.

I think this would be a really cool idea. It seems the only thing you can't actually control is when your guy smokes or drinks coffee, it would be cool if you could, def.

I'm a smoker, and if they are available I'm smoking them. Doesn't matter what kind, if herbs are all I can get, I'm smoking it. Same thing with coffee. I know a few people who have to have that cup, and they are just as bad as me with regard to it. If anything, they need to aggravate the penalties from not having your addiction. 3 days without a smoke and I am ready to hurt someone, badly, just for the chance to get one. Addictions will screw with your head severely when you cannot satisfy them.

Mrin - I don't disagree except they will actually curl up and die of starvation before touching food in the fridge or on the stove. It did seem a little weird that the coffee/cigs were automatic but the food wasn't.

However, thank god it wasn't, or I don't know how I'd survive. Probably start hiding food out at various scavenge sites lol.
