Cannot display the game in fullscreen

Alright, so I've just bought and installed This war of Mine since I thought it looked great, so I'd wanna give it a try.
So I launched the game and it starts and all, though apparently for some god forsaken reason I cannot see the menu. And I mean as in it's cropped 1/3rd of the picture out.
My native display resolution on the desktop is 1920x1080 as well as the same in the game, though it, again, for some reason doesn't wanna show me the entire picture of the game.

I can run it in windowed mode, and see the entire picture without trouble, though it's bugging me quite a lot why I can't play this game in fullscreen mode.

Yes I've updated my video drivers, checked for errors etc. - nothing of the sort.

Any advice, or perhaps someone from the dev team would care to elaborate on how to troubleshoot / fix this issue ? Or perhaps it's a known issue from your side of ?

Here is what I did to bypass this problem.
1. Go to the game's install directory.
2. Right click on "This War of Mine.exe" and select Properties.
3. Choose the Compability tab, and tick the box saying "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution".
4. Start the game and go into settings.
5. Choose the resolution 1600 x 900 (60 hz).
6. Exit the game, right click on your desktop and choose Display Settings. Change the resolution back to the suggested value.
7. Find the "This War of Mine.exe" file again and untick the box you ticked in step 3.
(The last two steps aren't necessary to run the game, but they restore your resolution to its former state and stops your computer from changing resolution every time you start the game.)

The game should now no longer be off center when you start it. If you try to increase the resolution to something above 1600 x 900, you may end up getting the same error, so I suggest you settle for 1600 x 900.
For me, the game also becomes off center if I alt+tab out of it. You will have to exit the game if this happens, so I suggest you avoid using alt+tab.

I believe everyone with Windows 10 and widescreen has this issue. I myself have this problem too, the only workaround is to run in a windowed mode with the borderless app. Developers seem to not care about this, it is an old issue.

I just found the fix to this problem. open steam, right click on This War Of Mine, click properties, opt in for beta, download beta, options should now display, choose your screen settings that best fits your display, opt out of beta and redownload the current version of the game.
