Loot Pile lost in winter?

I looted the civillian marked houses and dont want to walk all the way day over day. so i make a looted pile near exit. because it takes a lot of runs to get all the stuff...

Now i have winter and walked to the house and want to loot the pile in front of house.
And Char said: there is nothing??? and the icon disappears...

it was a big pile with a lot of wood, supplies, medicine and so on.

is this a known bug?


today i start the day again and look if the bug appears again.... i hope not.
i have more houses with looted pile in front/outside...

(btw, i´m german, i hope you can understand...)

No, it's not a bug - any loot piles you've left outside are inaccessible during winter. You can avoid this by creating your own drops safely inside buildings (it's sometimes a bit difficult to tell what the game considers "inside", so I usually make sure the loot pile is either behind a door or underground). The game gives you no warning about this, though, so I get your frustration. I personally lost access to all my wood and components in the Garage when I first discovered this feature... :(

with your information i can avoid (?beat?) this.

today on a new run i have this again, but not during winter. there was 3 piles outside and only 2 contains wood, components and so on. D:

Do you mean the first time you searched it, or did stuff disappear overnight? If the first, yeah, sometimes you get empty decoy piles. They tend to be in the same spot in every location, though, so after a few runs you learn to remember which search piles are just rubbish and which actually have stuff in them.
