It's true. The biggest one is you miss out on experiencing the game in all of its splender. Hence why I discourage cheating to get through a game. Though I'm not against cheating. It has it's purposes.
So you'll only "cheat" if it's spoon fed to you. Guess "cheaters will be cheaters" and lazy people will be lazy. "Cheating" the way those of us using cheat engine (and other meathods) do actually takes hard work and patience. Not some easy "There is no cow level" or "show me the money" Frankly it's that type of hypocrasy my type of cheaters look down upon. Though this is off topic. I hope someone can contribute to the original topic.
Hence how we're worlds apart.
Wayne, you might have better luck with an answer over in a cheatengine forum, TWOF is decently popular so someone may have already ran into the perticular value that's crashing your game.
Does this person make sense to anyone?
Ok, First you don't spell watermelon wateremlon, but I don't tell you to please spell the word correctly. Why don't I (and likely many others) because it's of no relavance or consequence to us. I don't care why you have an insaitable need to tell others how their games should be played (or what lightbulbs they should use or how many times they're allowed to flush a toilet or whatever other trivial things you like to dictate to strangers), but as I said before "cheating" has its purpose, and I'm at the top of the line to tell people if they want the best gaming experience they should avoid cheating, because it really takes a lot away from a game.
However there are those of us who like to experiment or to break a code just because we find it fun to do so. To find flaws and glitches to us that too is fun. I'm a role player at heart and I like nothing more than a good story accompanied by an excellent challenge. So I don't only play the game by cheating.
Just because I know how to cheat doesn't mean I always do. Same with others. Some may cheat all the time, perhaps they're not skilled enough to beat the game without cheating, but still want to play through the game and see how it ends, and there are lots of lazy people these days who will take the easy route and not sharpen their mind or skills to surmount a challenge (I work with a lot of such people these days) However it's not your place or anyone elses to tell them they shouldn't cheat to beat a game which has as its sole purpose to bring joy to people. (To the devs who both enjoy the game and enjoy the profits, as well as to the consumers who pay for the game and enjoy it in their own way.)
Also we all play the game differently. Some may try to scavange everything others will try to kill everyone others still will try to play without stealing and/or killing and then even others which may do a mix of all of the above. Some may cheat to have unlimited water, but never allow themselves to trade it. Some may cheat to have unlimited everything and never leave the house. Some might just want unlimited Ammo. Cheating is a tool to help enhance a person's enjoyment of the game. However I'll say one last time I always recommend playing a game from start to finish before cheating.
