You need more heaters. All because you have one teir 2 heater doesn't mean anything.

I survived winter with one tier 2 heater. Just put in more fuel to increase the temperature.

No, you need two heaters. Doesn't matter how much fuel you put into a tier 2, you'll at max be at like 14 , maybe 16. Just build a tier 2 and a tier 1 heater. You'll be fine.

You dont need two, but sure it will be easier.

You don't need 2 but you'll get sick and die off

My question is: when you see them saying It's getting cold, is that telling you to make a heater? and what is the temp when they get sick?

This is going to sound dumb, but did you put fuel in the heater? You have to click the icon on the heater to put fuel into it, it doesn't happen automatically.

Yep, click the icon to put the fuel in and that not a stupid question. :)

If they're getting cold you should build some heaters to keep them warm and toasty. :)

@sturm it happenns automatically if u havve fuel in your iinventory. If you don't, go make somme fuel at your main crafting stationn or the cooking station.

@synyster I think the rule of thumb is to keep it above 15 for basically no chance of sickness.

survived a lot of cold season with just 1 tier 2 heater. Also tried 2 tier 1 heater. Always refill the fuel to at least 5-6 before end of day. Keeping the temperature around 13-15 degrees.

That is completely wrong. You have to put fuel into the heaters manually.

Also, I've never had anyone get worse than slightly sick using one tier 2 heater. Just keep it topped off and you should be fine. No way anyone will freeze to death unless you don't fuel it up.

If you have a tier 2 heater, the temperature range will be about 12-16-ish if you max out the fuel. The annoying thing is that you can't refill it during the night, so in the morning it would always be around 12 or so, which gives the game an excuse to make characters slightly sick, though its quite rare.

Not sure what's the temperature for freezing to death; I think if you max out your fuel at the end of the day (another annoying part; gotta wait till the end of the day to ensure 6 fuel) then no one will freeze to death, though they might get slightly sick from time to time.
