80 Day Playthrough
I have a question for all the people who have finished the maximum length of the war (80 days). Does it seem a bit more lackluster to you than the original 40+ day conflict? I'm currently on day 32 and there's not much going on. There's hardly any news on the radio (as opposed to the shorter conflict when there was some news every few days), winter has come and gone already, no trade shortages yet, no new survivors. I was kind of expecting the same pace of changing circumstances as during my first playthrough. Obviously news about the conflict would be less often but I expected to encounter more trade shortages (firewood, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, even water and sugar). Maybe a second wave of cold weather.

I'm curious to know how was your 80 day playthrough?

Should I set the conflict to 'severe' next time in order to encounter more shortages? Wouldn't that make a lot of places inaccessible due to fighting?

We're all trying hard to figure this out. Some of us even consider eating people once in a while to make it more fun. Let us know how you're doing.

I am at around 60 out of 80 days on the Severe conflict and its been brutal, not as many things going on as a 40 day playthrough but the lack of resources keeps you busy planning attacks on Bandits, soldiers or innocent people, its a much bigger challenge than normal.

I only have Rick and Carol left in this playthrough.... :(

Haha, that would sure spice things up! I can't lie, I've thought about throwing my morals out the window and start killing people to make it more interesting. *sigh* I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one getting the boring story. Hopefully they'll add more events to the 80 day scenario in upcoming patches.

I think I'm trying the severe conflict next sounds interesting (and brutal). Good luck!

Day 46. Not a single new survivor has come to join my group. Granted I started with 4 people but I would've expected someone to join us by now.

4 is the maximum. you can't get higher then that.

Are you sure? I've read here in the forums that people have had 5 survivors at the end of the war.

You can end up with five, but it's not a common thing. Also, it never seems to happen with a four person start.

started with 4, now on day 55 i have 5 (somewhere around day 45 Katia joined).

-ontopic; yes, the 80 days play is a bit all the same. killed the whole city by now, not sure who is fighting who as there is noone left.

I started with 4, got a 5th one. Then I loss everyone except Katia. She somehow survived the brokenness and hired a few more guys who died since they came with lethal Wounds. Eventually, someone joined and didn't die and I manage to hire up to 4 again and reach Day 80. Whew!

Oh look. More boredom from a game which doesn't support modding. How surprising. /thread

Well tbh it's the developer's choice whether or not they support modding. I understand it can be frustrating but if they don't want mods then so be it. It's their game after all.
