How long does the war/game last?

I've heard people say it ended for them around day 45. Is this the set day or is that just random?

It varies I think. I had a game end on day 47 or 48, and I think others have had longer and shorter playthroughs.

If you listen on the radio, you will hear about when the war might end.

It depends...
If start in winter, it will end before day 40, I had 2 games ending at 36 and 1 game end at 45
If you don't start in winter it's likely going to be around 40-48

i started in summer. winter really sucks when you don't build a heater before it lol.

If you get a winter start there's a heater already in the house and a little firewood to get you through a day or two. It's still a very tough start though and I hated it.

If you start with just Marko, it will end on Day 33. Well, it did for me.

Thanks for the topic, I learned many things, I learned that it could start in winter, also learned you have a heater and some firewood if you start in winter as well, also the thing about the end of war, thanks all for the information

I just finished my first full playtrough (did many restarts thou) and wow this game is amazing. I started in winter and think it ended day 30 actually. I wish i could have played much, much longer as i was really getting started with a good setup.

Should be an option for "continue the game" as several strategy/builder games offers after the goals have been reached. Would love that :). I know that would kinda mean the "war continues" but it could rather be "civil unrest/struggle and post war militias roam the land" scenario if you continue.

I started with Anton and Cieva (I think that's her name) in the summer, so far I'm up to day 31 and only Anton is left, hoping I'll make it :(
