So the war is over and you want your survivors to keep hiding in their fortified basement living of rat meat and sleeping in makeshift beds that are barely as good as what homeless people have instead of allowing them to walk through the streets during daytime again, buying propper food, get back to their jobs and move on with their lives?

Somehow I have the feeling that the game was unable to deliver its message to you.

well honestly it is still a game. there should be a option that says keep going. but one thing i dont understand would be the loot. you would honestly have to live off what you already have cause you won't be able to loot anymore and get more character to join your crew since they died off or you get them all or said no to them. so that might be at some point in the development plan.
Well that's why there should be another gamemode without the 45 days limit. I beat the game on my third run, enjoyed the hell out of it but ended up a bit sad that all the items i worked hard for were gone, that's why there should be a gamemode where you survive for the longest possible time.

Do you only watch movies to see the credits?

No one's buying this to pay $20 to do crap they do irl. An endless mode sounds like a good addition.

How you gonna scavenge for supplies then? Surely it must all run out.

Nobody said they couldn't extent the war to an entire country, making the maps alot bigger.

I see nothing wrong if someone just want to play more. . .But 45 days war is kinda short. Still, it is good that the war end that fast. I have it end at 25 days before.

Nope. I watch movies to see the story. And the same way a story has a beginning, it has an end.

Btw, I also watch series and while it is a shame that there was only one season of firefly I still prefer it over 10 seasons of HIMYM where past season 3 the story doesnt advance at all and the 2 min per episode that are actually funny cant carry the other 13 min of BS.

As for an endless gamemode...

What would you expect from it?

Once you have 2 traps and 1 vegitable garden food is no problem anymore as long as you can get 3 stacks of components/day (for filers). If the scripted timeline doesnt advance to a point where components are hard to come by (traders gone) the game might not have ended but the challange has and the gameplay becomes repetetive.
Same with raids. Once you have your door reinforced and have guns for everyone all that is needed is about a bullet/day (3-4/per raid) and you are golden.

So what do day 46-150 have to offer? 100 nights of picking up an average of 12 components and a bullet (or a casing and powder) seems not very entertaining to me.
On the other hand if you have certain materials become rare for only periods of time you sooner or later will counter it by just stockpiling more... so I end up with 50 nights picking up 24+2 and the next 50 nights staying at home.. even less challenge/fun.

Are you sure? There are millions of ppl out there paying monthly for MMOs even though they could just go to work to grind ;)

What would go wrong with it? If they want, but you don't want, then don't play.
I support this. I agree that the idea may sound stupid but some wars last much longer than 45 days which would be cool. Obviously there should be a system that allows resupply's on old and/or having new locations. Or even allow more people to come at the hideout.

This game can actually have so many expansions, and would be one of the rare which I would love to pay DLC for.

A Long War mode would be gorgeous! Bigger city, more ♥♥♥♥ that wants to kill you, lasts longer.. Some sieges have gone on for months ;)

90 Days war sound about right if you ask me. But we do need more territory to play. Max 45 is just right for now.

90, 180, endless war.. To be honest I really wouldn't mind a gamemode where it's like Project Zomboid - you WILL die.
