Yes. If you don't think you can get upgraded heater, just build 2 heaters instead. But it burn through your fuel supply fast.

I never needed multiple I just upgraded mine and kept the fue at max capacity and that worked all winter with it never dropping in the danger zone besides once or twice.

Say that again when you got Day 1 Winter.

Then get a maximum of 2 and keep fuel at full try to upgrade weapons bench ASAP to get a hatchet, I survived to day 44 with day 1 winter...

I finished game like 4 times already, never longer than 50 days and never less than 38. I actually even restarted one at 36 even tho was doing good and would of finished it with no problems.

With all winters except one i had no problem with 1 upgraded heater and house patched up, maybe few times i just did not have doors. That heater kept at 6 max, gave me 15-19C. However one winter was colder, with installed doors, patched up walls and upgraded heater with 6 wood inside i was getting 13-15c, so decided to get another non upgraded heater, with both at 6 it was like mother Africa... 28C or so.

There is absolutely no point in doing that. Build one heater, get temps up to 11-12.

Work towards upgrading, building another is a waste of resources.

There is absolutely a point to build two, if maxed and upgraded cant keep at least 14. Because lower than 14 and there is higher possibility to get sick. By the way i heard sometimes winters are harsh and even patched up and with good doors, and maxed upgraded heater get like only 8C.

No there isn't. It is much easier to get meds by rushing Military Outpost, Hospital or any of the locations. Also, to die off sickness will take many days, it will buy you time.

To die off cold you would have to be absolutely careless. And you will not die off cold if temps are 10-12.

Only if you like wasting resources then build two heaters.

Well so far it's working better with two starting. Before I was only getting by with one and people got sick all the time. I'm trying to rush to get an axe, then work on upgrading one of the heaters.
FreedomFighter Nov 19, 2014 @ 2:42pm
Upgraded heater really need buff if it can't keep up with 2 normal heaters.

I know that this is not the right question for this guide, but it seems better than making a new one and it is a pretty stupid question: I have wood and I have made fuel but I don't know how to put it in the heater. Again sorry for the stupid question and incorrect placement.
FreedomFighter Nov 19, 2014 @ 2:49pm
Click at the heater. There are only 2 button on it. Left one is fuel it up, right one is upgrade.
the bong of grief Nov 19, 2014 @ 2:49pm
It isn't giving me the option to fuel up.
