Starting with different characters

I've restarted about 50 times now trying to get different characters and I always either get:

Marko, Pavle, Bruno

or

Katia, Pavle, Bruno



I swear I restart and restart but can never get anyone else.

Yes, (looking around) it is.

On serious part, it seems that way, although seed for random functions changes not that fast, maybe you got same odd bug in seed generation. Try to-reinstall the game, it may help.

I think you have to beat the game once first before you start getting different people.

Or if you are really impatient you can just kill off some of your starting survivors and see who shows up at the door.

I have also heard if you finish 1 day and then start a new game it gives you a new combo but I never give up that fast.

Another question is I've heard bad things about Arica. If I get her how do I kill her? Just not let her eat? Won't she eat my food automatically when she gets "depressed" or "upset"?

You can just send her on a scavenging mission and make sure she dies. I don't know why you would get rid of her though. She can run right up behind people and stealth kill them.

Not true, I got Arica depressed and she ended up sneaking out of the sheter with almost all my food. I was quite suprised when it happened ... lel

I'm also pretty sure that Arica makes lockpicks obsolete because she makes less noise with the crowbar aswell.

Arica is a great survivor for dangerous places. Just let her sneak around, open the doors for others and return next day with the cavalary

To get different set of characters you need to survive at least few days with the one you got. Mechanically speaking - your character pool is increased as you "progress" and learn the game
