How do you get more inventory space?

With any of the characters, how do you get more inventory space? Can you open up the open spaces that are closed off?

You can't increase inventory space, but you can get people who have a bigger inventory for example Boris (17) and Marko (15)

I think it could be very possible to craft backpacks. Why not? It`s wartime, resources here and there, if we can craft axe or crowbar, the backpack should be also be craftable. Of course the drawback should be slower moving speed with bigger backpack and survivor could get tired because of his carrying weight. Developers could look into it.

It could work as an upgrade, like when we did with our shelter protection. Once you finished it, all character receive X more inventory space. I wish there will be an update for more inventory space ;/

I agree it would be nice to be able to craft bigger bags since you can make a bunch of other items it makes complete sense.

People going to ask more about this non-stop since it is poor choice that they represent those unuse space with big X mark instead of leave it empty.
